When PR42 launched five years ago, the world looked very different. Caught in the crossfire of the pandemic, the cruise sector’s future was uncertain, and many asked whether it would even survive – let alone return to its previous popularity.
But we had every confidence in the industry’s resilience, and made sure we were primed and ready to go as soon as normality began to resurface. Sure enough, a staged and pragmatic return to service, combined with an incredible collective effort both on and off the ships, means the cruise sector has bounced back to the point where more UK & Ireland guests than ever took a holiday at sea last year.
PR42 has ridden that wave of success, while demonstrating similar innovation and industriousness. We’ve grown by staying true to the values we set out with on day one – being distinct, collaborative and hands-on.
For instance, our team collectively services every account we look after. You won’t see our directors disappear after a successful pitch; they work with our clients on each and every PR initiative.
We’re hands-on, accountable and focused on delivering real, measurable results. Our wealth of experience means we have operated in every relevant environment, from agency to in-house to journalism itself.
It’s this ethos that means we’ve never lost a client to a competitor agency, and have subsequently branched out to support various organisations from beyond the cruise sector and into the wider world of travel.
