PR42 is a specialist cruise, travel and transport PR agency, based on the south coast, with close to 40 years collective experience. Headed up by ex-directors for Princess Cruises, David Sanders and consultant Rachel Poultney, PR42 is a small, personal agency with a big reach.

PR42’s specialist nature ensures our relationships with relevant national and local press, and consumer and trade media, are outstanding. It means we’re the first to hear of any reactive media enquiries, which when combined with our proactive strategies gets results – leading to tangible commercial gains.

And we’re totally flexible. You can work with us on a retained basis, or for one-off projects, or on a ‘pay as you go’ basis where you’ll only be charged if we get you media coverage.

PR42 is headed up by David Sanders. David is based in Poole, Dorset and has over 20 years’ experience working in PR and Marketing for various high-profile organisations in the public and private sector. These include cruise lines, property firms, industry bodies and transport providers.

David specialises in creating and delivering communications strategies alongside campaign management, media liaison, crisis communications, event management and copywriting. He has extensive contacts across the national, regional and trade press and has worked with the BBC and ITV on various access documentaries and programmes.

David has dealt with a range of crisis incidents including air accidents, train derailments, a government investigation, undercover Dispatches filming and the Covid-19 outbreak on Diamond Princess.

Rachel Poultney has 18 years experience working in Marketing, Sales and Commercial roles across a range of travel and tourism industries. 

Previous roles have seen Rachel work at cruise lines, tour operators, tourist boards and travel agencies.  Her prior experience allows a genuine understanding of clients’ needs, meaning she can confidently relay the real business returns from a successfully executed PR strategy.

Most recently leading multiple departments, at a globally recognised cruise line, through the pandemic, her experience of real time crisis management is both extensive and fresh.

Gary Peters has worked in the media industry – primarily as a journalist and editor – for more than 10 years. 

In that time, he has seen first-hand how effective PR strategies can help grow brands and understands what media professionals require from a content perspective.  

Most recently, he was Editor at a leading cruise B2B publication, heading up the brand across print and digital. During this time, he launched new digital magazines and created and led numerous other editorial projects.
